Responsibilities
- Lead and influence the overall quality engineering strategy across PlayStation ecosystems.
- Drive architecture-level automation solutions and scalable quality engineering practices.
- Define and evolve enterprise-level automation standards and testing strategies.
- Design, build, and scale automation frameworks across various testing layers.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on automation stability and scalability.
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to drive shared ownership of quality.
- Drive R&D initiatives around AI-assisted testing and modern quality engineering solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and innovative automation approaches.
- Lead strategic improvements in hardware/device testing and validation environments.
- Mentor and guide SDETs and QEs on automation architecture and quality strategy.
- Define and track quality metrics and drive data-informed quality decisions.
- Influence organizational quality culture by establishing operational models.
- Lead complex root-cause investigations and drive systemic fixes.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in SDET, automation engineering, or quality engineering roles.
- Proven experience leading large-scale mobile quality engineering initiatives.
- Deep experience designing automation frameworks and implementing automated testing solutions.
- Strong programming/scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Strong expertise with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Pytest, Appium, Selenium.
- Experience architecting and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
- Practical experience with development and deployment tooling such as Git and Jenkins.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted testing tools and driving innovation.
- Experience driving test strategy and operational quality improvements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and systems-thinking abilities.
- Proven ability to influence engineering organizations and align teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced Agile environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
