Responsibilities

  • Architect and deliver complex, scalable frontend systems.
  • Partner with Product Managers to define requirements and scope features.
  • Lead technical decisions and delivery for medium-to-large features.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
  • Identify and resolve frontend bottlenecks, technical debt, and systemic issues.
  • Drive best practices in React, TypeScript, and web performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Backend Engineers on seamless data flow and system reliability.
  • Develop robust unit and integration tests.
  • Optimize applications for data-heavy workloads and browser performance.

Requirements

  • Software engineering experience with deep specialization in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  • Ability to architect complex state management systems using principles applicable to TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux, or MobX.
  • Ability to design maintainable systems that manage complexity effectively.
  • Experience mentoring peers and teaching engineering patterns and best practices.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests with tools such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Deep understanding of web performance, browser internals, and optimization techniques for data-heavy applications.
  • Product-oriented approach with the ability to evaluate requirements and propose effective alternatives.
  • Experience with data visualization, analytics, large datasets, or heavy DOM manipulation is desirable.
  • Portfolio, GitHub history, or technical writing demonstrating clean code, design judgment, and architectural problem-solving is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, and ClickHouse is desirable.
