Responsibilities
- Lead, design, and execute technical initiatives to improve web application performance.
- Investigate and resolve high-impact scalability issues within Asana’s product and frameworks.
- Work across the shared tech stack, including frontend infrastructure and data loading.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to enhance visibility into performance problems.
- Empower engineers to identify and address root causes of performance issues.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on frontend infrastructure and performance optimization.
- Drive technical projects and implement necessary changes.
- Communicate technical investments to business impact effectively.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in professional software development with large codebases.
- 3+ years of experience in modern frontend web technologies focused on frontend infrastructure.
- Experience leading technical projects and driving changes in complex systems.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Passion for web performance optimization and solving scalability challenges.
- Ability to approach ambiguous problems with curiosity and structured methodology.
- Demonstrated sound judgment in balancing speed of development with code quality.
- Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn.
