Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based components for the credit risk model lifecycle.
- Re-engineer a production model engine and supporting code from SAS to Python.
- Implement model logic and integrate it into production systems in collaboration with quantitative model developers.
- Optimize code for efficiency, scalability, and compliance with internal standards.
- Design automated workflows for data processing, testing, and deployment.
- Maintain version control, documentation, and software development best practices.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and risk teams to support implementation and delivery.
- Support Model Operations as needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software development, data analytics, or related roles, preferably in financial services, banking, or credit risk.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, engineering, or another quantitative or technical field.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade applications.
- Proficiency with Git or similar version control tools.
- Experience with SAS is optional.
- Experience with quantitative model development or validation is optional.
- Familiarity with software engineering principles, testing, and CI/CD is optional.
- Experience with cloud-based tools and infrastructure, preferably Azure Databricks, is optional.
- Familiarity with Airflow and Bash scripting is optional.
- Understanding of SQL, relational databases, and performance optimization for large-scale data processing is optional.
