Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug complex software as a full-time member of a feature development team.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-sharing.
- Lead technical innovation in component reuse, extensibility, maintainability, and scalability.
- Monitor production applications and proactively identify and fix client issues.
- Contribute to the product-wide technical roadmap and cross-team technical initiatives.
- Participate in a future on-call rotation to support the team’s software.
- Work with Product Owners to identify requirements gaps and design client-focused features.
- Plan and execute end-to-end automated tests and improve testing practices.
- Mentor developers and help teammates understand core concepts and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- At least four years of hands-on data software development experience.
- Extensive experience with Python and unit testing using PyTest.
- Experience with React and JavaScript; Vue experience is preferred.
- Experience with SQL databases, Git, Docker, SQLAlchemy, and cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS.
- Strong knowledge of AI-assisted development practices and awareness of current technology and software development trends.
- Strong communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bilingual French and English is considered an asset.
