Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug complex software as part of a feature development team.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor team members through code reviews and knowledge-sharing.
- Lead technical innovation in component re-use, maintainability, and scalability.
- Monitor applications in production and proactively address client issues.
- Contribute to the product-wide technical roadmap and adopt new technologies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support the software.
- Identify gaps in product requirements and collaborate with Product Owners.
- Plan and execute automated tests to ensure software quality.
- Help team members understand core concepts and tools.
- Anticipate problems and raise concerns to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or related fields.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in data software development.
- Extensive experience with Python and unit testing using PyTest.
- Some experience with React and JavaScript, preferably Vue.
- Experience with SQL databases, Git, CI/CD tools, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS.
- Strong knowledge of AI-assisted development practices.
- Awareness of current industry trends in technology and software development.
- Strong communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.
