Base Salary

$121k - $141k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and train embedding models for representation learning.
  • Fine-tune and evaluate language models for custom use cases.
  • Contribute to shared practices around evaluation and responsible AI use.
  • Implement and deploy machine learning research with robustness and reproducibility.
  • Adapt or develop ML and AI algorithms when existing techniques are insufficient.
  • Communicate complex ideas in machine learning and AI to various stakeholders.
  • Support the mission of journalistic independence.

Requirements

  • PhD, MS + 2 years experience, or 3+ years work experience in a quantitative/computational discipline.
  • 2+ years experience with open source machine learning or statistical analysis tools.
  • 2+ years coding experience in Python.
  • 2+ years experience in SQL and manipulating large datasets.
  • 1+ years of experience with deep learning architectures and frameworks like Pytorch or Tensorflow.
