Base Salary
$121k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and train embedding models for representation learning.
- Fine-tune and evaluate language models for custom use cases.
- Contribute to shared practices around evaluation and responsible AI use.
- Implement and deploy machine learning research with robustness and reproducibility.
- Adapt or develop ML and AI algorithms when existing techniques are insufficient.
- Communicate complex ideas in machine learning and AI to various stakeholders.
- Support the mission of journalistic independence.
Requirements
- PhD, MS + 2 years experience, or 3+ years work experience in a quantitative/computational discipline.
- 2+ years experience with open source machine learning or statistical analysis tools.
- 2+ years coding experience in Python.
- 2+ years experience in SQL and manipulating large datasets.
- 1+ years of experience with deep learning architectures and frameworks like Pytorch or Tensorflow.
