Base Salary
$213k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models that predict future world states and plan autonomous vehicle behavior.
- Design architectures, algorithms, data pipelines, and evaluation systems using Google’s data infrastructure.
- Address onboard model system contracts, including kinematics, interfaces, and representations.
- Collaborate with researchers, product area owners, and engineers to deliver safe, smooth planning behavior and product requirements.
- Apply performance optimization techniques to deep models and deploy ML solutions on production vehicles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with modern deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow, JAX, or PyTorch.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- At least 4 years of experience in machine learning modeling and/or autonomous vehicle systems.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field.
- Preferred: publications in conferences such as ICML, NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, IROS, CoRL, ACL, or EMNLP.
- Preferred: software development or ML research industry experience, including internships, and experience with motion planning or related robotics problems.
- Preferred: experience applying or evaluating ML-based systems in production and optimizing deep models for specific hardware architectures.
