Base Salary
$220k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build agentic applications, features, and workflows for Perplexity users.
- Lead vertical-specific products and AI-powered experiences, including products such as a Personal CFO and Email Assistant.
- Own pipelines, infrastructure, and connectors that deliver user and enterprise data to agents and products at a 99.9% reliability bar.
- Drive full-stack projects and run experiments focused on adoption, retention, and revenue.
- Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with AI, Design, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping complex products end-to-end.
- Demonstrated technical leadership owning large, ambiguous projects, setting direction, and driving measurable outcomes.
- Strong execution, product judgment, ownership, and ability to translate user behavior and product opportunities into effective technical solutions.
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising a team’s technical bar.
- Genuine interest in and adoption of AI products, with willingness to learn quickly.
- Preferred: domain expertise in finance, healthcare, legal, or operations; experience building agentic product surfaces; or experience at a fast-growing startup or high-ownership engineering team.
