Responsibilities
- Contribute to the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs.
- Use application development procedures, concepts, script tools, and code analysis to identify and define system enhancements.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and recommend programming solutions.
- Install and support customer-facing systems.
- Design applications based on programming language specifications.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues and conduct testing and debugging.
- Identify and resolve problems by evaluating information and selecting solutions.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
- Operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independent judgment and autonomy.
- Assess and manage risk while complying with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
