Responsibilities
- Develop, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement, and validate software applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Create front-end and back-end code for internal and external client software solutions across multiple platforms.
- Design and deliver program specifications, application documentation, implementation plans, and application or database solutions.
- Analyze, modify, and develop code and unit tests, perform validation, and correct software deficiencies.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions, and vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches.
- Support the design, development, and enforcement of business and infrastructure application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, compliance, and data accuracy.
- Apply Payment Card Industry security compliance requirements.
- Provide billable-hour and resource estimates for initiatives, projects, and issues.
- Assist with on-the-job training and provide guidance to other software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically at least four years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more front-end or back-end languages and moderate understanding of the corresponding technology.
- Experience with two or more modern enterprise programming languages, APIs, external services, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: six or more years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Preferred: experience with IBM Rational Tools.
- Knowledge of diverse operating systems, databases, back-end and front-end technologies, web frameworks, development tools, mobile development, and machine-learning technologies.
