Base Salary
$85k - $131k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, improve, and support reliable data and cloud services.
- Build services and tools for data ingestion, processing, storage, serving, and platform automation.
- Implement features and technical projects from design through testing, deployment, and production support.
- Apply monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, service-level objectives and indicators, and incident-response practices.
- Collaborate with software, data, machine learning, and cloud engineers to translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, design discussions, documentation, and retrospectives.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and improve service reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and usability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another relevant field, or equivalent real-world experience.
- 0–2 years of software-engineering experience, including internships, co-op experience, academic projects, or equivalent hands-on work.
- Foundational proficiency in at least one of Java, C++, Go, or Python.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, testing, version control, and code review.
- Familiarity with developing or supporting services, applications, or data-processing systems.
- Exposure to Azure, GCP, or AWS through coursework, projects, internships, or professional experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
- Interest in reliable, scalable systems and supporting production services.
- Competitive qualifications include familiarity with distributed systems, APIs, microservices, containers, cloud-native development, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, metrics, observability, autonomous vehicles, robotics, machine learning, or large-scale data platforms.
