Base Salary
$154k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Influence the roadmap and contribute to career and technical objectives.
- Deliver new features collaboratively and iterate based on results and customer feedback.
- Drive projects from ideation and requirements gathering through shipment and production operations.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems with ownership of reliability, performance, and availability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of operated services.
- Contribute to open-source projects beyond the team’s direct scope.
- Mentor teammates, participate in design discussions, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
Requirements
- Solid experience with Go, Rust, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience working with large distributed systems.
- Experience delivering projects independently from requirements gathering through customer release.
- Experience developing software that runs in the cloud or experience with systems engineering.
- Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote-first engineering organization.
- Customer focus, pragmatic problem solving, collaboration, and a bias toward action.
- Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus in operational settings is a bonus.
- Experience with on-call work, operations or SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code is a bonus.
