Base Salary
$140k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, secure, and operate solutions supporting communications with more than 2 million Automox software agents.
- Own significant features and services end to end from technical design through production release and operation, including their user interfaces.
- Extend event-driven services and endpoint software to deliver new platform features.
- Contribute to testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, automation, and monitoring.
- Produce detailed specifications and participate throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Champion secure coding and modern software development practices and mentor junior engineers.
- Partner with Product, Program Management, QE, Technical Support, and engineering teams to scope and deliver work.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Go or Java and versatility across programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications in high-availability SaaS environments.
- Experience building software with continuous client connectivity and production applications in cloud environments, especially AWS.
- Experience with secure coding practices, including OWASP, and strong security awareness.
- Professional experience shipping frontend features with TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework.
- Experience scaling microservice architectures, large-scale event ingestion platforms, websockets, real-time messaging systems such as Kafka or MQTT, and non-relational databases such as DynamoDB.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
- Preferred experience building desktop or cross-platform applications and software running on macOS, Windows, or Linux endpoints.
- Preferred experience writing automated end-to-end tests with Python, Playwright, or similar tools.
