Base Salary
$130k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation, tooling, telemetry, observability, and Infrastructure as Code capabilities for large-scale compute and storage platforms.
- Automate infrastructure lifecycle processes including provisioning, configuration, testing, monitoring, compliance, capacity planning, maintenance, and support.
- Build orchestration workflows, API integrations, reusable patterns, and standards for secure and consistent infrastructure operations.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and software delivery practices including version control, testing, peer review, documentation, and code quality.
- Reduce operational overhead by automating repetitive processes and increasing self-service infrastructure capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and stakeholder groups to improve reliability, supportability, and platform adoption.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing software using Python, Java, C/C++, or similar languages.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, orchestration, or Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Airflow, Terraform, Chef, Salt, or Puppet.
- Experience automating lifecycle processes across enterprise compute, storage, or virtualization platforms.
- Experience building tools and integrations using REST APIs or similar interfaces.
- Strong familiarity with requirements, design, development, testing, version control, peer review, CI/CD, documentation, deployment, and support.
- Ability to take ownership, communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and drive work to resolution.
- Preferred knowledge of server and storage hardware, virtualization, block and file storage protocols, telemetry, Linux internals, network protocols, storage protocols, infrastructure security, databases, private cloud, internal cloud, and self-service infrastructure.
