Responsibilities
- Design and implement thermal management frameworks across the bootloader, Linux kernel, and Android Hardware Abstraction Layer.
- Integrate and debug thermal software during new device bring-up.
- Develop and maintain Python and Shell automation scripts for thermal stress tests and simulated user workloads.
- Perform root cause analysis of thermal issues using test data and system logs.
- Develop metrics such as Time-to-Throttle and skin temperature compliance to quantify and validate thermal performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages such as C or C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- At least 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
