Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain the complete system software stack for Pixel devices.
- Build and maintain Google SoC and in-market device system software kernels.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software quality.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
- Review code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and other best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of software development experience in C++ and C.
- Three years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
- Two years of experience working with the Linux kernel and Android systems.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: BSP team lead or project lead experience.
- Preferred: seven years of Android system software development or management experience.
- Preferred: three years of Android BSP experience focused on low-level hardware interactions and device driver integration, or upstream Linux Kernel experience.
- Excellent technical documentation and English communication skills.
