Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate secure and cost-efficient backend services on AWS.
- Collaborate with data platform teams to enable reliable data collection and processing.
- Contribute to streaming pipelines and batch workflows with a focus on performance.
- Implement and extend CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment safety.
- Monitor clickstream and service events to improve data reliability.
- Strengthen observability for services and pipelines to reduce detection time.
- Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver incremental value.
- Write technical documentation and participate in design and code reviews.
- Champion data governance and prevent bad data propagation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building backend systems and data-intensive services.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or Java/Kotlin.
- Solid SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouses.
- Experience with event-driven systems and streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Expertise in CI/CD practices, preferably with CircleCI and GitHub.
- Strong observability practices using tools like New Relic and Splunk.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
