Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure cloud infrastructure using Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Define cloud architecture, migration strategies, and optimized cloud environments with stakeholders.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using DevSecOps, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.
- Architect self-hosted and managed Kubernetes environments using AKS, EKS, and GKE.
- Advise on independent Kubernetes deployments versus managed cloud-provider services based on project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on cloud security, FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, microservices, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Lead assessment, planning, and execution of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud migrations.
- Develop cloud architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and security protocols.
- Automate infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, ARM and Bicep templates, and PowerShell.
- Design high-availability, disaster-recovery, incident-response, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Mentor cloud engineering teams and integrate cloud services into application lifecycles to improve security and performance.
- Translate business requirements into technical guidance while collaborating with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance, or willingness to accept an interim Top Secret or Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least five years of cloud architecture experience with hands-on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud experience.
- Experience designing and implementing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud solutions.
- Strong DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Ansible, Terraform, ARM, Bicep, JSON, YAML, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of cloud security frameworks, network architectures including firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers, and identity management including Azure AD and OAuth.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects, with strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical certifications such as Google Cloud Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are preferred.
- Experience with DevSecOps, microservices, cloud-native development, cloud cost optimization, monitoring, performance tuning, and federal government environments is preferred.
