Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end security features including secure boot, trusted execution environments, secure storage, secure updates, and secure communication.
- Contribute to security architecture for embedded and connected systems across infotainment, ADAS, IoT, and mobile platforms.
- Perform security architecture reviews and threat modeling, identify risks, define mitigations, and drive security improvements.
- Implement Linux, Android, and QNX security hardening; conduct secure code reviews and address vulnerabilities with development teams.
- Integrate access-control and hardening mechanisms such as SELinux and AppArmor.
- Perform security testing and validation using static analysis, dynamic analysis, fuzzing, and penetration testing on real hardware and production-like environments.
- Develop security requirements and security engineering processes while supporting compliance with relevant standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cryptography, or a related technical field.
- 7–15 years of overall experience, including at least 2–5 years in embedded software development, system software, or security engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and/or Android platforms, especially BSP, middleware, system services, or other low-level system components.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, cryptography, secure communication protocols, secure coding, and security testing.
- Experience implementing or supporting embedded security features such as secure boot, trusted mechanisms, secure storage, secure OTA updates, and secure communication.
- Experience with Qualcomm, Renesas/RCAR, TI, or other modern SoC architectures and QNX is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or SANS GIAC are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Arm TrustZone, OP-TEE, HSM, disk encryption, dm-verity, TLS/DTLS, SSH, IPsec, MACsec, SELinux, AppArmor, signing tools, network security, firewalls, fuzzing, and security analysis is advantageous.
