Base Salary
$120k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build secure and performant APIs powering Copilot applications.
- Collaborate with product engineers, product managers, and platform engineers to turn ambiguous projects into consumer experiences.
- Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues involving performance, scalability, security, and user experience.
- Deliver features quickly and iteratively in a fast-paced, design-driven product development cycle.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to an inclusive culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 4+ years building backend APIs for mobile applications, including GraphQL, REST APIs, Protobuf, Thrift, WebSocket, SSE, or WebRTC.
- Preferred: Experience with mobile data schema code generation or consistency, mobile release version control, analytics, feature flags, and A/B testing frameworks.
- Preferred: 4+ years building scalable services on public cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Preferred: Experience with relational and key-value datastores and distributed systems at scale, spanning bare-metal hosts, containers, and networking.
- Experience working with AI platforms, frameworks, and APIs.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and contribute to knowledge sharing and team growth.

- Employees living within 50 miles of a U.S. Microsoft office or 25 miles of a non-U.S. office are expected to work from that office at least four days per week beginning January 26, 2026, subject to local law and jurisdiction.
