Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Design systems for data ingestion, processing, validation, reconciliation, reporting, and auditing.
- Use AI-powered development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and productivity.
- Design fault-tolerant, observable, maintainable, and high-throughput systems.
- Own solutions end-to-end from design through operations.
- Build and support monitoring, logging, CI/CD, and operational excellence practices.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and data teams.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Scala or Python.
- Expertise with Spark/PySpark and distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
- Proficiency with AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
- Strong testing, system design, backend development, API, data pipeline, and high-throughput systems experience.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents, and responsible AI practices is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
