Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and refactor robust, scalable, and high-performance applications.
- Build RESTful APIs and distributed systems using Java and Spring-based frameworks.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code and contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Apply unit testing, TDD, BDD, automation, and continuous delivery practices to improve software quality and reliability.
- Implement secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, cross-functional teams, and DevOps teams on deployments, observability, and production resilience.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on modern software architectures.
- Contribute to trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, and cloud-native engineering practices.
Requirements
- 7–20 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years of hands-on Java coding experience.
- Proficiency in Java 1.8 or above, RESTful API development, Spring, data structures, algorithms, and SQL, preferably Oracle SQL.
- Deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, TDD, BDD, automation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with code reviews, vulnerability assessments, secure coding, and software reliability practices.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Good-to-have experience with event-driven architecture, distributed systems, performance tuning, observability, and production monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
