Responsibilities
- Build and own end-to-end features for a microservices platform serving a micro-frontend application.
- Design APIs and work with asynchronous messaging, caching, and data management.
- Lead or contribute to architecture and design discussions and implement significant portions of features.
- Review peer code and API designs across teams.
- Build and maintain agents that generate shared SDKs, services, UI components, and application logic using LLMs and agentic coding.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX specialists, Agile teammates, and cross-team technical working groups.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and production incident response, including root cause analysis, rollbacks, hotfixes, and deployments.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with microservice architecture and REST API design, including versioning, contracts, error handling, and consumer-driven design.
- Experience with asynchronous messaging such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS, caching strategies, and relational or NoSQL database management.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and distributed systems concepts.
- Hands-on experience with agentic coding, including architectural problem decomposition, selecting when to use agents, and refining generated output into production-quality code.
- Conceptual understanding of frontend engineering and basic knowledge of TypeScript, SPAs, HTML, CSS, and asynchronous JavaScript.
- Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD processes.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, developer tooling or internal SDKs, accessibility standards and compliance, Sass, and WebComponents.
- French proficiency is required for permanent Quebec positions, and English proficiency is required for communication with colleagues, clients, partners, and technical documentation.
