Responsibilities
- Perform complex analysis, advanced design, configuration, and software development for high-impact work.
- Lead the direction and implementation of solutions to moderately complex and loosely scoped problems.
- Deliver work independently and by leading other team members.
- Investigate and resolve critical, high-impact problems, defects, and incidents.
- Champion modern software delivery patterns, automation, resiliency, modular architectures, API-driven solutions, and decoupled systems.
- Drive GenAI adoption, agent-engineering practices, and skill-building across the engineering community.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Identify opportunities to use technology to improve the business and influence engineering or product strategy.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including at least one year shipping production systems built on LLMs or AI agents.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
- Six additional years of software engineering experience are listed as a must-have qualification.
- Experience with GitHub, Python, .NET/C#, Angular, AWS, OCF, Mongo, DocumentDB, and SQL Server.
- Experience with modern agent frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, or AgentCore and LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI.
- Proficiency in tool use, retrieval, multi-step workflows, evaluation, and observability for agent systems.
- Strong software fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, testing, and CI/CD applied to AI-augmented systems.
- Experience defining and driving technical direction for a workstream or product area and influencing engineering or product strategy.
- Advanced leadership, communication, decision-making, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
