$165k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement mission-critical platform features, foundational systems, APIs, frameworks, and enterprise-scale data management capabilities.
- Shape platform architecture through technical specifications, hands-on coding, design documentation, and strategic architectural decisions.
- Establish API design, versioning, governance, service integration, and cross-application workflow standards.
- Lead large-scale refactoring, modernization, performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and legacy transformation initiatives.
- Build canonical source-of-truth data systems with governance, compliance, privacy, and security capabilities.
- Improve platform development practices, mentor engineers, teach code review and platform development techniques, and coordinate work across multiple teams.
- Ensure platform architecture meets enterprise security, regulatory, compliance, and business-growth requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5–10 years of software engineering experience with significant platform engineering focus.
- Proven Java coding experience is required.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale platform systems.
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
- Strong knowledge of platform engineering, API design, service-oriented architectures, data architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and event-driven systems.
- Advanced understanding of cloud-native development, microservices, distributed systems, performance optimization, scalability engineering, system reliability, DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, and modern deployment practices.
- Understanding of enterprise security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with regulated industries, preferably financial services.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
