Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support enterprise-scale Oracle database applications and data integration solutions.
- Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing frameworks.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, availability, validation, reconciliation, and auditing across business-critical platforms.
- Improve operational stability through monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive controls.
- Optimize database performance and large-scale data processing through SQL tuning and performance engineering.
- Translate business requirements into efficient, maintainable data solutions.
- Establish database engineering standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks.
- Mentor and guide engineers through knowledge sharing, technical reviews, and engineering excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with business partners, application engineering teams, and production support organizations.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in database development, data engineering, or ETL development.
- 6–8 years of IT experience.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, advanced SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and ETL development.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and relational database concepts.
- Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines with Informatica, SnapLogic, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of data integration, data quality, validation, reconciliation, and auditing processes.
- Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
- Ability to design scalable, high-performance database and data solutions.
- Ability to influence across teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to engineering excellence.
- Exposure to containerization technologies, cloud deployment models, event-driven architectures, and messaging platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
