Responsibilities
- Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives and develop engineering standards and best practices.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and review large-scale technology solutions.
- Lead projects and teams, mentor peers, and influence technical decisions across teams.
- Deliver high-quality engineering outcomes for data center exit migrations and DPC onboarding, including validation, automation, and production readiness.
- Build scalable, high-performance data solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and Autosys.
- Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, external industry groups, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support team capability building, technical skills development, governance, risk management, and production support.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong expertise in Python with React or Angular and hands-on experience in distributed data processing.
- Hands-on experience using Copilot AI for development and testing.
- At least 4 years of software or data engineering experience, including leadership of complex systems in regulated environments or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale systems using PySpark, Flink, Hadoop, or similar big data technologies.
- Understanding of data architecture, metadata management, performance optimization, data quality frameworks, enterprise controls, and production support models.
- Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, generative AI models, Model Context Protocol, and agentic frameworks and flows.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, with Azure preferred and AWS or GCP acceptable.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Ability to lead technical design discussions and influence engineering decisions across teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
