Responsibilities
- Translate vague business requirements into machine learning models and solutions.
- Conduct machine learning experiments using programming languages and ML libraries.
- Develop generative AI solutions and custom machine learning code.
- Optimize ML solutions for performance and scalability.
- Build efficient data flows between databases and backend systems.
- Automate MLOps workflows, including testing, reproducibility, and feature or metadata storage.
- Design machine learning architectures using Google Cloud tools and services.
- Build and deploy production-grade AI and data-driven software.
- Scope projects, oversee engagement delivery, and lead client discussions.
- Build trusted relationships with prospects and clients.
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Proficiency in Python as a backend programming language and ability to deliver production-ready code.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with foundational software engineering practices and well-tested pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and managing data.
- Experience scaling computations with GPUs or distributed computing systems.
- Familiarity with exposing machine learning components through web services or wrappers such as Flask.
- Strong communication, presentation, and consulting skills.
- Scale-up experience is a bonus.
- Cloud certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer or AWS Solution Architect are advantageous.
