Responsibilities
- Own an automation workstream end to end, including intake, prioritization, solution design, delivery planning, and measurable business outcomes.
- Design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and support Python, SQL, API, data pipeline, workflow, RPA, and agentic AI automations.
- Develop LLM-based agents for document extraction, classification, dispute handling, exception handling, and query triage using tool calling, MCP integrations, guardrails, and evaluation.
- Lead the migration of selected Blue Prism processes to code-based or agentic solutions while maintaining existing bots and operational continuity.
- Set standards for testing, Git, code review, documentation, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and supportability.
- Review technical designs and code, clarify ownership, coach team members, and support engineers transitioning from RPA to code and AI development.
- Build SOX/ITGC controls including change management, segregation of duties, least-privilege access, and audit evidence.
- Partner with Finance SMEs, process owners, FinSys, and Engineering to scope work, manage expectations, and report progress and value.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or intelligent automation, including production solutions designed, delivered, and supported end to end.
- Experience leading a workstream or small team through planning, solution reviews, and coaching.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience using REST APIs, JSON, file/SFTP/email integrations, and robust exception handling.
- Experience building LLM-based agents or automations with tool or function calling, MCP or similar integrations, and at least one agent framework such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or OpenAI Agents SDK.
- Productive use of AI coding agents such as Cursor or Claude Code.
- Experience with Git, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, controlled releases, production monitoring, incident triage, root-cause analysis, and stakeholder updates.
- Understanding of SOX or similar controlled environments, including audit trails, change control, and access management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including explaining technical trade-offs to Finance users and leadership.
- Preferred experience with n8n, Power Automate, Make, Zapier, SS&C Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, OCR/intelligent document processing, RAG, embeddings/vector search, LLM evaluation, and cost or latency tuning.
- Preferred experience with StarRocks, Hadoop/Hive, Superset, containers/Kubernetes, private-cloud deployment, Oracle ERP, finance processes, process discovery, process mining, or Lean Six Sigma.
