Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and full-stack development across mobile and web platforms.
- Design and deliver scalable, secure, AI-enabled, and cloud-enabled software solutions for regulated medical-device products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define software requirements and develop compliant solutions.
- Mentor development teams on software development, DevOps, and Agile best practices.
- Drive risk management and quality assurance through validation, documentation, and adherence to medical-device software standards such as IEC 62304.
- Develop software roadmaps, make system-level architecture decisions, and contribute to innovation initiatives.
- Apply Generative AI tools, coding assistants, agents, and LLM-based workflows to software engineering and product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 12 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree or equivalent plus 10 years of relevant experience; equivalent work experience may be considered under Edwards criteria.
- Progressive software engineering experience with significant software architecture and full-stack development experience.
- Experience developing software for regulated medical devices or healthcare products, including medical-device software lifecycle, risk management, verification, validation, and applicable standards.
- Strong experience designing and delivering cloud-based and cloud-native software solutions, including scalable architectures, APIs, services, data platforms, security, and DevOps.
- Fluency with Generative AI tools and technologies, including hands-on use of AI coding assistants, agents, and LLM-based development workflows.
- Experience leading architecture and development across web, mobile, and/or distributed systems.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience collaborating with product, engineering, design, quality, regulatory, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with .NET, .NET Core, Angular, Python, React Native, Java, Android Studio, Microsoft SQL, and MySQL.
- Preferred experience developing software roadmaps, mobile strategies, and working with leadership and senior management.
