Responsibilities
- Set web application architecture across frontend applications, Platform API consumption, design systems, navigation, feature flags, API contracts, and modularization.
- Lead Angular-to-React and BFF-to-Platform API modernization across teams using working prototypes and migration strategies.
- Partner with Platform and DevOps engineers on API, gateway, cloud deployment, container, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code patterns.
- Build server-side services and design integrations with third-party and EMR/EHR systems, while partnering with mobile teams on shared architecture.
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, accessibility, performance, API design, testing, secure software development, and traceability.
- Mentor P3 engineers, help set the hiring bar, and increase team effectiveness through architecture and tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field plus 8 years of experience, or a master’s degree plus 6 years of experience.
- Recognized depth in web application architecture with hands-on React, Angular, REST, GraphQL, Platform API, gateway, and server-side language experience.
- Experience setting technical standards adopted across multiple teams and leading large-scale frontend or API modernization.
- Experience designing and operating cloud-deployed applications at scale with containers, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
- Working knowledge of mobile client architecture and the ability to embed quality and traceability into a secure software development lifecycle.
- Preferred experience includes regulated medical-device software and standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, IEC 62366-1, and FDA design controls.
- Preferred experience includes experimentation, feature flags, modular build infrastructure, UI frameworks and design systems, EMR/EHR integrations using HL7, FHIR, or IHE, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
