Responsibilities
- Architect and implement production-quality automated camera software validation systems.
- Build and evaluate agentic AI, multimodal vision, intelligent test orchestration, and visual validation solutions.
- Develop automated test execution, triage, analytics, flakiness measurement, and reporting systems at scale.
- Automate validation against physical hardware, devices, instrumented lab environments, robotic test rigs, and controlled scenes.
- Determine when traditional automation or manual testing is more effective for a validation scenario.
- Mentor engineers and provide clear, constructive technical feedback.
- Collaborate with camera testers and engineering teams to refine, operate, and scale validation solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering and architecture experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and evaluating modern AI/ML and agentic technologies for real-world validation problems.
- A strong record of designing, building, debugging, and operating effective software test automation systems.
- Deep knowledge of QA testing strategy, test-result analytics, automated triage, flakiness measurement, and reporting signal-to-noise improvement.
- Experience automating or validating software against physical hardware, devices, or instrumented lab environments.
- Experience operating automated test execution at scale and unattended test infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of Python, Swift, Objective-C, or C++.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience with agentic automation systems, evaluation frameworks, automated graders, and failure analysis.
- Preferred experience with multimodal AI, vision-language models, computer vision, visual evaluation, image and video processing, camera pipelines, and visual defect detection.
- Preferred experience testing Apple hardware such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV using XCTest/Swift or Python/pytest.
- Preferred experience designing physical test rigs, robotic actuation, and controlled lighting or scene environments.
- Ability to advocate for technical positions among conflicting opinions and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
