Base Salary
$140k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own components of Crusoe Cloud’s managed container registry serving images for training and inference workloads.
- Deliver features across design, implementation, testing, rollout, and operation.
- Solve ambiguous cloud-provider challenges with simple and pragmatic designs.
- Partner with product and platform teams to align solutions with customer and operational needs.
- Build observability into sustainable software to improve maintainability, early issue detection, and root-cause analysis.
- Identify and implement improvements that make team systems easier, safer, and faster to operate.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
- Solid understanding of fault-tolerant distributed systems under high load, with experience contributing to production services.
- Hands-on experience profiling and benchmarking real systems and evaluating performance tradeoffs.
- Strong fundamentals in microservices and cloud-native infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, plus one or more of Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and explain technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical partners.
- Interest in mentoring new teammates and helping engineers grow.
- Bonus: familiarity with OCI image and distribution specifications.
- Bonus: experience building container registry products.
- Bonus: experience with storage or caching systems at scale.
