Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the integration runtime platform, including durable execution, sandboxed isolation, and self-healing behavior.
  • Build and operate agent infrastructure for coding agents that write, test, and deploy integration code at production scale.
  • Design and ship observability across logs, metrics, and distributed tracing for integrations and agent workflows.
  • Deliver a self-hostable, single-tenant deployment as a standalone product.
  • Establish foundational engineering patterns for the future infrastructure team.
  • Ship continuously with the founders and help hire the infrastructure team the role will eventually lead.

Requirements

  • 3 to 9 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in fast-moving, ambiguous, high-growth startup environments.
  • Experience in a startup backed by a top-tier venture firm or a comparable high-growth environment; big-tech-only backgrounds are not a strong fit.
  • Hands-on experience operating, scaling, and debugging Kubernetes in production.
  • End-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure or a platform rather than contributing only to a larger team’s system.
  • A focus on cloud infrastructure rather than primarily data infrastructure.
  • Experience designing observability systems spanning logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
  • Ability to use AI coding agents productively while applying strong production-quality engineering judgment.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals from a rigorous academic background.
  • Bonus experience building self-hostable or single-tenant product deployments.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $175,000 to $300,000 USD annually.
  • Visa sponsorship is available where an O-1 visa is a realistic path.
  • On-site five days per week in San Francisco, California.
  • US-based candidates elsewhere may be considered with a concrete, dated relocation plan to San Francisco.
