Responsibilities
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.
- Optimize database queries and data storage for improved system performance and efficiency.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and support industry compliance.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to minimize downtime and maintain a reliable user experience.
- Monitor system health and performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Write clean, maintainable, and documented code following development standards and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate relevant advancements into the technology stack and development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional backend development experience focused on Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with frameworks or libraries such as Express.js.
- Experience with relational databases, including database design, optimization, and querying; PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Familiarity with Firebase or similar cloud-based services for real-time data synchronization and authentication.
- Experience with scalable and distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of web service architectures and strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
