Base Salary
$219k - $233k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale platform capabilities for ML-powered high-content imaging screens.
- Build interactive tools and interfaces for data exploration, quality assessment, and visualization.
- Own complex end-to-end architecture and delivery projects with a focus on maintainability.
- Harden image-processing and ML workflows to reliably process millions of images per day.
- Establish practices for data integrity, lineage tracking, reproducibility, and observability across the imaging lifecycle.
- Write technical specifications and documentation.
- Partner with lab scientists, ML scientists, and microscopy teams to translate experimental needs into shipped software.
- Mentor engineers and raise the team’s technical standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience building and operating production-grade software and high-throughput data pipelines, primarily in Python.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying scientific computing pipelines, visualizations, and quality-control processes for large-scale imaging or similarly high-dimensional datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Python-first ML stacks, distributed computing, and workflow orchestration technologies such as PyTorch, Lightning, Ray, Kubernetes, Argo, Airflow, or redun.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex systems from architecture through production operation.
- Ability to collaborate with scientists and translate research needs into practical, scalable software.
- Interest in mentoring engineers and enabling scientific breakthroughs through platform engineering.

- Target starting salary is $219,000-$233,000 for successful US-based applicants, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus and equity incentive plan.
