Base Salary
$220k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build optimization algorithms for global aircraft routing.
- Develop real-time, low-latency, deterministic, highly available routing services.
- Account for weather, airspace restrictions, vehicle performance, operational priorities, and dynamic demand.
- Build fault-tolerant systems with strong service-level reliability for live flight operations.
- Work on path planning, graph search, motion planning, and related optimization problems.
- Drive high-impact projects end to end and collaborate with autonomy and flight operations teams.
- Use AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining strong system design and code quality standards.
Requirements
- Experience operating low-latency, high-availability production services.
- Hands-on experience with path planning, graph search, motion planning, or related optimization problems.
- Strong backend or distributed systems engineering fundamentals.
- Track record of driving projects end to end with an extreme ownership mindset.
- Comfort working on ambiguous, high-visibility, high-impact problems.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional autonomy and operations teams.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and focus on solving the right problems.
Benefits
- Starting cash range of $220,000-$260,000, with final pay dependent on experience, qualifications, skills, location, and projected impact.
