Responsibilities
- Lead software configuration for the Alvea platform and associated applications.
- Support delivery across Sydney Metro West and future rail projects.
- Lead software integration, deployment, automated deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
- Provide expertise in software architecture, DevOps, configuration frameworks, and cloud-based solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with local and global engineering, product, and delivery teams.
- Contribute to system design, UX considerations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in software configuration, software architecture, and DevOps.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
- Knowledge of RabbitMQ or similar message brokers.
- Understanding of OPC-UA, SNMP, and Modbus TCP protocols.
- Experience with cloud-native software development and deployment.
- Basic knowledge of containerisation technologies.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD techniques and version control systems.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and cloud technologies.
- Understanding of UX and Design Thinking principles.
- Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Prior experience with Hitachi software configuration is highly desirable.
