Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-impact mobile workflows for banking, invoicing, payments, and files within the Xero Accounting app.
- Contribute to technical design and lead by example through code reviews and engineering best practices.
- Uphold application availability, accuracy, security, and scalability while automating manual processes.
- Identify failure patterns, mitigate production issues, and participate in incident responses and post-mortems.
- Simplify technical complexity and improve delivery efficiency through automation and modern engineering practices, including AI.
- Coach and mentor team members while fostering collaboration, information sharing, feedback, and psychological safety.
Requirements
- High proficiency in React Native and native development, with experience building robust mobile applications at global scale.
- Proficiency in software design patterns, distributed architectures, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience or familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Ability to make data-driven technical decisions, communicate complex constraints clearly, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments, adapt to changing priorities, and focus on incremental delivery.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to secure, scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software.
