Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, secure infrastructure on AWS.
- Build automation, Infrastructure as Code, and self-service capabilities to reduce manual operational effort and improve engineering productivity.
- Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across AWS infrastructure, Linux, networking, applications, and deployment pipelines.
- Participate in production support and on-call activities, owning incidents and root-cause analysis end to end.
- Partner with software engineering teams to enable cloud-native solutions and improve platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, and developer experience.
- Evaluate AI-powered engineering solutions and maintain architecture documentation, operational runbooks, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, AWS Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or similar engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and operating infrastructure on Amazon Web Services and using AWS services such as EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, VPC Endpoints, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, including process management, memory, file systems, system performance, and shell scripting.
- Solid networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and VPN concepts.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in at least one of Python, Go, Java, or Bash.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, using GitHub Actions, and applying modern software delivery practices.
- Strong production troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Ansible, cloud security, infrastructure security, and AWS certifications.
