Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction across multiple products, platforms, AI infrastructure, data platforms, and shared primitives.
  • Build and standardize prompt libraries, MCP server patterns, AI-generated-code quality gates, and human-agent collaboration practices.
  • Architect automated testing, regression, AI evaluation, guardrail, and quality-verification infrastructure.
  • Design secure, governed MCP integrations connecting AI agents to internal APIs, data sources, and platform services.
  • Define agentic workflows for testing, documentation, code-review triage, and deployment checks.
  • Lead build-versus-buy decisions, modernization of legacy systems, strategic standards, launch checklists, SLOs, and release criteria.
  • Establish responsible-AI guardrails, trust and safety practices, security patterns, and post-incident learning processes.
  • Mentor staff-level engineers and shape technical-leadership norms across individual contributors.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of full-stack development and architecture experience building web applications and services, including technical leadership beyond one team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Recent hands-on experience personally building and shipping working software.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Deep experience with software quality, test strategy, automation frameworks, CI-gated quality checks, and evaluation systems.
  • Strong proficiency in at least two of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, and C#/.NET, plus modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular.
  • Deep experience with RESTful API design, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native delivery on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including multi-region or hybrid deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with Model Context Protocol, prompt engineering for code, Azure AI Foundry, RAG, LangChain, GraphRAG, or GraphDB.
  • Production experience with Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ, plus Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, advanced CI/CD, and modern DevOps or SRE practices.
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers, establishing frameworks and standards, and communicating complex AI and architecture concepts to executives and nontechnical partners.
