Base Salary

$173k - $276k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Set technical standards and provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple engineering teams.
  • Partner with product management to shape product strategy, descriptions, and technology-roadmap alignment.
  • Own technical product design and architecture for complex application and service solutions.
  • Develop departmental-wide technical vision and influence engineering approaches across product, architecture, and software engineering.
  • Design and engineer full-stack solutions using cloud, containerization, CI/CD, automated testing, operational-readiness, and self-service practices.
  • Coach and mentor team members, present to internal audiences, and collaborate with customers and cross-functional partners.
  • Support risk management and the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, with preparation typically obtained through education and/or experience.
  • At least 15 years of experience designing and developing complex software projects, including at least eight years in the FinTech domain.
  • One to two years of experience implementing cloud application solutions or services using containerization, CI/CD, automated testing, and security guidelines.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and designing complex end-to-end full-stack systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, JUnit, Tomcat, Spring Boot, Spring Core, Kafka, Tibco EMS or JMS, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, or AngularJS.
  • Experience with test automation, object-oriented analysis and design, CI/CD pipeline implementation, code repositories, bug tracking tools, and wikis.
  • Knowledge of SDLC best practices, software development methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Preferred qualifications include an M.S. or Ph.D., AWS, Splunk, Altiris, Zabbix, database architecture, Terraform, AppDynamics, C#, Ruby, Python, PHP, ACH/EFT, RTP, FedNow, cloud migration, and Kubernetes or cloud certification.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to complete a background and drug screen and perform the stated physical and communication requirements.

  • Hybrid work model for positions in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York.
  • Base pay ranges from $173,000 to $230,000 in Phoenix or Chicago and from $207,000 to $276,000 in San Francisco, plus a discretionary incentive plan.
