Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of technology initiatives supporting risk, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Design, review, and maintain technical specifications, software architectures, governance controls, and risk-aware systems.
- Translate stakeholder risk and compliance requirements into technical solutions and actionable technology roadmaps.
- Lead planning, design reviews, risk assessments, cross-functional collaboration, and delivery tracking.
- Mentor technical team members, conduct code reviews, and foster knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies to improve risk management processes and business operations.
- Manage vendor and internal stakeholder relationships, dependencies, escalations, and delivery risks.
- Monitor technology and industry developments and advise on beneficial adoption.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in software development and technology leadership.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, or Node.js, with Go or Scala experience preferred.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, APIs, integration frameworks, cloud fundamentals, and deployment patterns.
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, data validation, and integrity controls; NoSQL and data governance knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of mobile, cloud, IoT, blockchain, security controls, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence, and Git-based version control; Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, and automation experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Risk management, finance, banking, regulated-industry, governance technology, or relevant architecture, cloud, security, or data analytics certification experience is preferred.
- Substantial hands-on risk-technology programs or relevant certifications may provide an alternative pathway.
