Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend and platform services.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of distributed systems.
- Build reliable APIs and service integrations.
- Troubleshoot complex system and production issues and deliver maintainable solutions.
- Participate in design and code reviews and improve engineering best practices.
- Improve automated testing, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, observability, reliability, resiliency, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams on scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
Requirements
- Require 6–8 years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in backend or platform development.
- Require experience designing and building scalable backend services and distributed systems.
- Require strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or similar backend technologies.
- Require experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Require understanding of distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and asynchronous processing.
- Require experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Require familiarity with infrastructure as code, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
- Require the ability to troubleshoot technical problems and deliver maintainable, high-quality solutions.
- Require experience working effectively in Agile and collaborative engineering environments.
- Require a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prefer experience building shared platform services, distributed systems, or backend systems at scale.
- Prefer familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, containers, or infrastructure automation technologies.
- Prefer experience supporting production services and improving reliability, performance, and observability.
- Prefer exposure to AI-assisted applications, LLM-based capabilities, workflow automation, or AI/ML application patterns such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, RAG, tool calling, and evaluation frameworks.
