Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Engineer solutions on Google Cloud Platform using Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
- Create efficient SQL queries and data pipelines for high-availability systems.
- Implement Jenkins CI/CD automation and Terraform infrastructure as code.
- Develop unit tests with JUnit and improve code quality.
- Lead peer code reviews and support adoption of engineering standards.
- Provide production support, incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and cloud engineering teams and support agile execution.
- Mentor other engineers and help shape technical best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or four additional years of relevant work experience.
- 13+ years of experience delivering microservices architecture.
- Expert-level Java and Spring Boot proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
- Strong SQL and database performance tuning skills.
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Terraform infrastructure as code.
- Experience producing comprehensive JUnit coverage and ensuring code quality.
- Experience conducting peer code reviews and providing actionable feedback.
- Experience with VersionOne or similar agile project tools.
- Production support experience including incident management and troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices design patterns, distributed systems, high-traffic large-scale platforms, and open-source contributions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and satisfy the stated U.S. residency requirements.
