Responsibilities
- Develop and support Linux kernel features for Android on Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets.
- Work with cross-functional teams to enable kernel functionality and support teams using Linux kernel features.
- Work with power and performance teams to identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
- Develop and maintain tools supporting Linux kernel development, debugging, and support.
- Work on ARMv9 CPUs and related features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree with 1+ year; or a PhD in a relevant field.
- 3–5 years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Excellent knowledge of operating-system fundamentals, data structures, the Linux kernel, and the device-driver model.
- Expert-level knowledge of C and experience with Linux kernel subsystems such as core kernel, device drivers, memory, SMMU, or ARM subsystems.
- Experience debugging with tools such as T32 and gdb, and performing crash analysis with T32 or crash utility.
- Experience using tracing and related tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with development toolchains and version-control tools.
- Android experience is a plus.
