Responsibilities
- Identify valuable problems by engaging with users, support insights, product data, and market changes.
- Take opportunities from zero to one by prototyping, shipping to real users, learning from evidence, and owning outcomes.
- Build and improve production software while deciding when to prototype, invest in durable architecture, or stop.
- Develop tools, context, checks, and feedback loops that enable confident AI-assisted engineering workflows.
- Make technical and product tradeoffs visible, connect product and engineering work, and help teams adopt effective practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated staff-level impact as a hands-on engineer who has shaped technical direction, built important systems, and enabled stronger delivery by others.
- Experience starting a product, feature, internal tool, open-source project, or company with little structure and carrying it through early validation.
- Ability to move from an uncertain problem to a useful result through prototypes and sound production-engineering judgment.
- Product judgment, user and market curiosity, and the ability to explain the impact of technical decisions.
- Practical experience using AI models or agents to build real software or workflows, including evaluating their output and understanding their limitations.
- Strong judgment regarding architecture, quality, security, and user experience, plus depth in at least one engineering area and sufficient range across the stack.
- Low ego, high integrity, and a habit of making reasoning visible for others to learn from.
