Base Salary
$100k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research and develop SIEM threat detection use cases based on emerging threats, threat intelligence, and analyst feedback.
- Identify gaps in security protection and analytics capabilities with stakeholders and cybersecurity tool subject-matter experts.
- Develop custom scripts to enhance SIEM functionality.
- Review security data feeds and recommend or implement quality improvements.
- Identify critical systems and application components and create alerting priorities and tailored detection signatures.
Requirements
- Five years of relevant IT experience.
- Three years of experience working with a SIEM in content development or incident response.
- Three years of systems and/or network administration experience.
- Understanding of various log formats, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, network architecture, and defense-in-depth.
- Experience developing and maintaining scripts, preferably with PowerShell, Python, or SPL.
- U.S. citizenship and Top Secret clearance with IT-I; candidates must be eligible for SCI.
- Candidates may need to sign a Letter of Commitment, and the position is contingent on contract award and government approval.
