Responsibilities
- Own, lead, and manage technical components end to end in alignment with business objectives and product strategy.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, design reviews, code reviews, and guidance to team members without initial formal line-management responsibility.
- Shape platform vision, technical strategy, roadmaps, requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs with business and senior technology stakeholders.
- Engage directly with business partners and clients to understand problems, deliver commercial outcomes, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for value.
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy robust production solutions using Python and Java.
- Build and test AI agents with Google ADK, work with Model Context Protocol, create MCP servers, and work with MLflow.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and integrate platform capabilities with broader systems and teams.
- Apply networking, APIs, databases, and CLI tooling to day-to-day delivery while managing risk, security, and compliance considerations.
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience as a senior developer, technical lead, or similar role.
- Strong object-oriented programming, technical design, software architecture, and technical strategy experience.
- Proficiency in Python or Java, with hands-on experience in both preferred.
- Experience with Postgres or Oracle and foundational knowledge of databases, networking, REST APIs, and CLI tooling.
- Experience with Generative AI and some knowledge of AI agents, with Google ADK experience preferred.
- Practical experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, uDeploy, Tekton, Harness, or equivalent.
- Experience driving technical strategy and roadmaps and influencing senior MD-level stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, presentation, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Line management or software development team leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; graduate-level or continuing education is a plus.
- Experience with Neo4j or other graph databases, Agent Development Kit concepts, Model Context Protocol, system prompts, UX, GUI, front-end, or user experience development is desirable.
