Responsibilities
- Own major projects and features from design through implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and upgrades.
- Develop scalable and resilient distributed applications, including APIs, event-processing systems, and batch jobs.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests and participate in code reviews.
- Prototype solutions and support continuous integration, delivery, releases, and site-wide upgrades.
- Integrate ML models into production systems and collaborate with AI, product, and data science teams.
- Support production systems through incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, issue triage, and reliability improvements.
- Mentor junior developers and promote maintainable, secure, and consistent implementations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of practical experience designing and developing distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot, with solid knowledge of Spring Batch, object-oriented programming, and data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with microservices architecture, cloud-native design patterns, high-throughput event processing, relational and NoSQL databases, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Kafka, JMS, or MQ and API technologies such as Jersey or Spring MVC.
- 1–2 years of experience contributing to or integrating ML models into production.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps practices, CI/CD, TDD, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud infrastructure and containerization.
- Experience supporting production systems, diagnosing and coordinating resolution of distributed-service issues, mentoring developers, and conducting code reviews.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; machine learning education is a plus.
